Study on the Performance Certification for Underground Buried Fire Hydrants using Water Sources

This study reviews and evaluates technical standards of “underground fire hydrants”,that are installed in places vulnerable to fires, such as traditional markets doss houses Korea, that easily used by fire-fighters the first response fires. In future, this is expected be a fire-fighting facility can stably using water source without additional equipment pressurized transport device or electricity required prevention reinforcement district. We reached following conclusions regarding facility. Test items review include buoyancy drainage test, opening closing control edge sharpness resistance material salt spray rubber static load impact internal pressure storage strength photo-luminescence labeling labeling. As result reviewing aforementioned study, buried hydrant” was not assumed applied directly installation site, but procedure for establishing performance inspection were suggested necessary.
